Groupie

Image
The first time I heard this word was when Drake called someone a groupie in one of his songs, I did not check for the meaning until an influencer talked about it recently The google definitions are too extreme and derogatory but in the context of what I'm talking about a groupie can be someone who always wants to be with the "happening guys". After pondering about it for a couple of days I realized we might be and this mentee, mentor, networking, your association rave in Nigeria might have turned most of us to “groupies” in a way. The need to follow the latest popping person, enter their dms and introduce yourself, ask them to mentor you or to just be able to say I know them, bla bla bla   is turning some of us into something else I don’t have much to say but I pray we remember that as we appreciate the light in others, their talents and gifts, we'll never  lose sight of the light, talents and gifts we carry too. Appreciate them but focus on making your light

I hated the word "servant"

Image
“ Servant’ was always a word I hated because to me,  it described a state of being lower than others or vulnerable to oppression. I tried my best to avoid any form of friendship with the word until I heard that Jesus Christ used the word to describe himself. What made a man or should I say God like Jesus describe himself as a servant wasn’t he meant to only be a master? I left the thought hanging as part of my unsolved mind issues till I could find an answer like I always do. Christ came to serve and not only did he serve he did it to Gods glory and so well that God made his name higher than every other name. Now a question pops in my head if I want to serve God well and have him welcome me as “Oh faithful servant, welcome”( this is really what I want to hear   when I get to heaven ),what must I do to make sure I deliver great service  to God? Paul was an exceptional apostle, something made him different. The way he delivered his teachings, his control of words, ability to express hims

This money consciousness is killing us (what is your passion?)

Image
As a young child, I touched things I was not allowed to but I never touched people’s money without permission, simply because I believed the law of karma worked for money, money was something to be protected because more money meant less troubles. I maintained this mentality till I became older, I started to scheme of ways to get more money, I thought of every possible thing, car wash (which my dad strongly opposed),modelling, Forex, starting a cleaning agency ,real estate, starting a lesson teacher company not because I really loved these things but mainly because money was on my mind. At a point, I asked myself what do I really love to do, I had no answer because I had forgotten passion was important, I believed through discipline I could make myself do whatever it is even if I did not necessarily like it. Through our daily evening prayer meetings, this mentality has begun to change, money is not something you make it is something God gives and takes. He is the owner, so he wou

Mind blowing revelation of the word of God

Image
Today's service was the bomb, Thank God I did not doze at all. When I gave my life to Christ, I believed one of the things that would make me know God better was to read the word of God but today my mind was elevated to another level of what the bible is. I attended winners chapel service via Impact Africa Tv today and Papa opened my mind to understand that the word of God is our access to living in the supernatural. When a man declares THE WORD OF GOD (John 6:63), he is going to see THE ACTS OF GOD. Firstly, it is the spirit of God that empowers man to do the impossible e.g. Samson (Judges 16:20),Paul (Acts 14:1),You (1 John 4:4).Just as during creation of earth, God declared the word and the spirit in the word CREATED what he wanted to happen e.g. light, birds, animals, plants etc. The word of God is like a coded command(for example its like me tapping the keyboard of my laptop, the laptop decodes it and shows what I commanded it to display), the same thing works with the

My friends and I prayed to God to have a red flag because we thought it would make us big girls but little did we know it is a pack of embarrassing moments. Not listening to this advice has landed me in the hospital twice, don’t be like me. ·           U se a period tracker app on your device Having a period tracker app prevents you from being caught unawares and helps you prepare well ·          Wear comfortable clothing (preferably loose and beautiful) Always wear comfortable clothing and good undies during your period
